How will it be possible to build habitats shelters and bases on Mars?
Our settlement on the Red Planet is not a dream anymore but a reality.
It's impossible to ship homes from Earth to Mars. 3D printing buildings on the surface of Mars with existing materials found on the Red Planet seems like the solution.
NASA and partner Bradley University of Peoria, Illinois, have awarded $700,000 to two teams in the final round of the 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge. The top prize of $500,000 was awarded to New York based AI. SpaceFactory. Second-place and $200,000 was awarded to Pennsylvania State University of University Park.
Here we explore the design by AI Spacefactory's Marcha Habitat for Mars. Further we will explore Mars and Deep Space beyond our Solar System.
